Project Overview
For this project, we constructed a 60x80x16 pole barn to secure a spacious storage facility for a stunning Peterbilt truck. Designed with both durability and efficiency, the structure incorporates high-quality materials, superior insulation, and a well-thought-out layout to maximize space and usability.
Exterior Features
The barn’s exterior features a classic yet modern look, with Bone White walls and trim complemented by Charcoal wainscoting and a matching Charcoal roof. The building is equipped with:
- Three 36″ six-panel entry doors for convenient access
- Six 6×4 fixed windows are positioned at a height of 14 feet, allowing natural light to brighten the interior
- Two 14’x14’ commercial insulated garage doors, provide ample space for large vehicle entry and storage
- 168 feet of gutters with four downspouts, ensuring proper drainage and long-term structural integrity
To enhance durability and longevity, we also installed wet pour 24×12 footers, a green post foundation, and a 4-inch stone base topped with a 6-inch concrete floor. Additionally, a single bubble roof vapor barrier was added to prevent condensation issues.
Interior Details
The interior of this storage building is built for comfort, insulation, and easy maintenance. Key features include:
- R-19 insulation at 16 feet high and R-30 blown-in fiber insulation in the ceiling for superior temperature control
- Brite White liner panels are on all interior walls, and perforated ceiling panels are used for sound control.
A dedicated 10’x10’x8’ bathroom area built with 2×6 stud walls, finished with a 36” six-panel entry door- A loft area (10×20) above the bathroom, constructed with 2×12 floor joists, a ¾” T&G subfloor, and a 3’ wide staircase for easy access
Next Steps: A Future Addition
As our client continues to expand their storage needs, we are currently working on preliminary drawings for a lean-to addition to this structure. This addition will further enhance the functionality and versatility of the building, offering additional covered space.
