Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Does CHA Construction offer turn-key projects?
A: Yes. We are proud to offer you a wide variety of services. We can simply construct only the shell of the pole barn or we can provide you a full-service package which includes everything from the first dirt being dug to the last nail being hammered. This turn-key package can include such things as attaining building permits, site prep, pole building erection, interior finishes, and concrete flat work.
Q: Does CHA carry your state’s required liability insurance?
A: Yes. We are a fully insured company, and we are happy to provide our insurance certifications to your local Building Department.
Q: How long will it take CHA’s crews to build my structure?
A: This is a two part question. The scheduling of your project is the first step. Our timetable varies due to seasonal swings, but we will always work hard to schedule your project as quickly as possible. The next step is the crew building your barn. You can expect a fast, professional, and quite persnickety crew to erect your building more quickly than you ever imagined. Many a customer has been amazed as we built their barn in one short day! Each project does vary in the length of time it takes to complete, but you can rest assured that our crews will work passionately until your barn is completed.
Q: Does my building site need to be level?
A: Before we begin constructing your building, the site needs to have a slope no greater than 6” from corner to corner, and for the safety of our crews we ask for a 72” level apron around the perimeter of the barn.
Q: Does CHA Construction offer excavating services to level my site?
A: We are pleased to offer minor excavating throughout most of our service area. This service is not included in the basic barn construction price as sites vary widely in how much site prep needs to be done. Typically a sales representative will visit your site to consult with you about your sites’ requirements.
Q: Will I have the full dimension from floor to ceiling as specified?
A: Yes. When the concrete is poured you will have the full specified building height.
Q: Does CHA offer custom size buildings?
A: Yes. We will be able to offer buildings of any size up to 80′ wide and any length. Just keep in mind the most cost efficient building length are 8′ increments such as 24, 32, 40, 48, 56, and so on, whereas the most efficient widths are 24, 30, 32, 36, 48, 50, 60, 72, and 80.
Q: Who determines exactly where my building will be placed?
A: We ask that the customer stakes out the four corners of the building prior to the crew’s arrival.
Q: What states do you build in?
A: We build pole buildings throughout Pennsylvania (PA), Maryland (MD), Delaware (DE), New Jersey (NJ), and Virginia (VA).
